Gemma-Rose Brooke, Director & Planner, BSc & Mplan Prac (Hons), Int.NZPI & RMLA, has extensive experience in the property development industry having worked in Planning and Project Management since 2009, both here in Aotearoa New Zealand and internationally.

After graduating from the University of Auckland with a Masters of Planning Practice (Hons), Gemma-Rose moved to New York City where she spent several years working on large scale developments, from projects for the United Nations to the Metropolitan Transport Authority and New York City Transit. She then spent a year working on the rebuild of Ōtautahi Christchurch, before returning to Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, where she has been the planning lead for a wide range of residential, commercial and land development projects.

Gemma-Rose is a member of the New Zealand Planning Association (Int.) & Resource Management Law Association. Her approach is personable, pragmatic and detailed oriented. Gemma-Rose thrives on achieving successful outcomes for her clients and has a network of reputable planning contractors who can assist with workload & larger projects as needed.

Additionally, Gemma-Rose has first-hand, personal experience, having undertaken her own subdivision and residential projects bringing this knowledge of the development process to Planning Studio.

Outside of work, Gemma-Rose enjoys spending time with her fiancé, their two children, whānau & friends.

Alexandra Low, Senior Planner, BUrbPlan (Hons), Cert. Fine Arts & Design, Int.NZPI & RMLA, has worked as a Planner and Policy Analyst in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland since 2016. After graduating from the University of Auckland with an honours degree in Urban Planning, Alexandra has been exposed to all parts of the consenting process, beginning her career at Auckland Council as a compliance intern and Building Control Planner.

Alexandra was then accepted into the Council's limited Graduate Programme and completed accelerated learning and development through various rotations in Urban Design, Resource Consents and Parks and Community and Social Policy. As a result, Alexandra was offered a permanent role as a Policy Analyst, where she undertook acquisition and divestment assessments, community consultation and reviews of open space policy.

Alexandra returned to processing resource consents for Auckland Council in 2020 shortly before being approached to join a private planning consultancy as a Senior Planner. In between having two children, Alexandra has worked on Plan Changes, subdivision, land use, coastal and discharge consents. She is excited to continue this work in the private sector with Planning Studio, and has worked alongside Gemma-Rose since 2019
